Hi my name is David and I'm in college and looking for a car for me to work on. I don't know alot about fiero's, my current car is a 97 Trans Am. I hope that someone here has a car that is inexpensive and runs that I can purchase for cheap. My max budget is about 500. I'm really not gonna be picky about this just manual, running(barely or fine) and decent paint. I know thats alot to ask for but I got my TA for 8500 when it should have been 10.5, I know someone has to have pitty for a poor college student looking to take the plunge into the Fiero cult. I'm located in Waco but willing to drive for the right one. Thanks...

There are a few of us around, though it's hard to get people to admit to owning a Fiero. ![Icon Lol](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_lol.gif)
My 85 GT is in the process of being painted right now (I'm painting it Viper Blue, doing it at my house). I've got 2 parts cars (both 86 SE's), so if you find one and need parts, holler.![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
I'd suggest avoiding 84s and 88s, simply because they were 'unique' years and parts are more rare (though the 88 is admittedly the best year, it's also a unique year so a lot of parts from other years won't work). The 85GT and 86SE's are basically the same car with a few minor differences. And everyone likes the fastbacks, but notchies are cheaper.

Well thank you, I need to find one first. Theres a guy in the Heart of Texas Fiero club and another in the North Texas Fiero club asking around for me. But so far no love. What part of Waco do you live in? Are you in Heart of Texas?

I'm just south of Waco (Lorena). I'm not in any Fiero clubs, and I'm rarely on Pennock's. I just kinda do my own thing.
I got one car in Austin, one in Ft Worth, and the other just past Rockwall in Dallas. Bought an engine in Glen Rose. Assembled everything myself to make one good car. Needs paint in a bad way, but I'm doing that myself. Doing it the right way - sanding off all the old stuff, epoxy primer, base, clear.
