I completely agree. They may have gotten the similarity of it from the c6z wheel for the longer of the ten spokes but in no way from an design standpoint did they use the original design and add ten spokes to it to make 20. they started completely fresh and you can tell with the updated look around the lugnuts/center of the wheel.
I found the car to replace the hardtop! Just got to find one used after a year or two.

I'm pretty sure they took the c6 z06 wheel and worked around it buddy. Do you really think they designed a wheel that was purely original and it just happened to contain an exact copy of a c6 z06 wheel inside of it? Tell me your joking. The wheels look great yes but if you look at them they really do look like a set of c6 z06 wheels meshed with a set of c5 z06 wheels. This is tempting me to photoshop some just to show you...

They are very close, I will agree to that. However, the center of the wheels ARE different. The z06 wheel has a cap with the lugs hidden behind and in a flat surface. These have a slop to the area where the lug lives.
Close though and it looks even closer if you were to take a c6 z06 and a c5 z06 wheel and put them on top of each other combined.
