Default Cut stock springs for a 2" drop on C6 19's

Got my new wheels and tires last week. (before the drop pics are here too)
https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/801164-got-my-19x10-c6-wheels-285-35-kumho-s-today.html
Well the car looked like a 4x4 so i wanted to drop it. I have always heard that cut stock springs are the worst way to lower a car. Well let me be the first to say that could not be further fron the truth!
I cut my springs for a total of a 2" drop in the front and a 1.5" drop in back.
I didn't want a 2" drop in the front but after hours of searching i could not find any information on how many coils to cut off for how much of a drop. All i read was "start with one coil" or "start with 1.5 coils". So i figured since my car was sittin VERY high i would start with 1.5 coils all the way around.
On the front i cut from the bottom of the spring and reinstalled. It ended up being a 2" drop. The rear i cut from the top and it was only a .5"-.75" drop. So i cut another coil on the rear and it ended up being 1.5" drop total for the rear.
RIDE QUALITY
The ride quality is AWSOME!!!!!!! I mean you can feel that the car is lowered but not like other cars i've driven. (LG springs, Eibachs, Hotchkis, ect) If i had to judge how much of a drop it was from the ride quality i would have guessed a .75" maybe 1" drop. It feels VERY close to stock.
HANDALING
It definatly handles better than stock around the corners, but not as good as aftermarket lowering springs. So handling is about inbetween stock and aftermarket springs.
I don't know if i want to raise the front or just leave it. The front tires do look pretty big tucked up in there. I'm running 285/35/19's all the way around. It probably would look a little better if i ran a 285/30/19 in the front but oh well i already have a pretty penny tied up in this set up so unless someone wants to do an even swap these tires are stayin.
The cool thing is though that even with the hellacious drop in the front i still have VERY good ground clearance because of the VERY tall 19" tires.
Soooo in conclusion i will never buy aftermarket springs ever again.
Oh and this car is a 99 and some 01, 02 cars i have worked on, look like they may sit higher. And the springs actually look bigger too, so taking off 1.5 coils infront might be ok on those. But i would still start with one coil in the front and two in the rear just to be safe.

Lots of them. Roads suck here in Garland. Thats why i got 35 series tires and not 30 series.
There is 3.927" of tire between my rim and the road. As opposed to 3.366" with 30 series tires.
And stock tire is 25.7" tall. these are almost 27" tall. so even though its slammed it still isn't scraping the ground.

With a set of new springs being so cost effective I really do not understand why you cut the springs. And no it does not handle better than stock. Never.

wow... you put 3-4 people in your car?? With a lowered car I'd only take 1 person tops. and when my car isnt lowered. I'd take 2, but even that was pushing it. but I will never let anyone sit behind me

Cost effective is a relative term. I'm closing on my first house next week so i can't be spending a bunch of $$$ on my car. Besides springs cost $250. This was absolutly FREE.

So you spend $1400 for wheels and tires, and $250 springs are a problem?

Actually the wheels and tires were free.
Sold the 17's the car came with $400
bought a set of wheels and sold them for $300 profit
Sold the set of LG springs (installed) that the car came with $200
sold all the stock cats i've had in the back yard for years $700
For a grand total of $1,600
Spent a total of $1,500 shiped mounted and balanced for the wheels.
