i'm getting mixed opinions. i think i'm just gonna look at the laws in that city and see what i can do.
i can use the rear end change and different rim/tire size too. i have a carfax that says the rear-end had an upgrade to the 2.32s and i have 17s on the back with 315/40 tires.
also i was traveling in a pack of a mini-van, civic, me and a mustang and only me and the mustang were pulled over. could that be considered profiling?

Your tires are 315/35's. Which are basically the same size as stock tires so they won't make any difference in the speedomoter. I don't think profiling based on cars is actually illegal, even though it probably should be. Even then I doubt you could prove it, but I'm sure thats why you got pulled over. Either that or he saw my car earlier and thought yours was so much uglier that you deserved a ticket haha. Just man up and do the deferred thing. It sucks, but thats why I drive the speed limit.
looks like i don't have enough people saying it was worth fighting. i'll probably just pay it. think 11 over in Roanoke, TX is more than $100?
dan: what car were you driving? i don't remember seeing the vette... or a burgandy V6 with an exhaust louder than mine.

they're 315/40s. and i tested beside another car today and when they were going 76 i was only doing 72. which brings up other topics (10% limit, different speeding category, etc.) again... i doubt they'll give a ****. and scot... fix your signature. your car doesn't look anything like that.

You dont have 315/40s...
also, you dont have 2.32s either. You likely have 273s or 323s.

LOL they always hide. Come over to i10 and shepherd area in Houston, several cops set up speed traps and hide behind this building with ZERO cop cars visible, just a tiny radar gun sticking out of the building to catch those flying over the hill. So you must ride your brakes to be able to keep the speed of 35, and they ALWAYS have cars lined up.
Good luck!!

its a form of entrapment. they have to have a light on at night and the car has to be visible
I would get a lawyer if I were you. It will probably be cheaper than paying the ticket.

entrapment is setting up a system that entices you to speed in some way. . .then pulling you over for it. It's not entrapment if they don't alter the situation any to provoke you to break a law

I almost posted that sooner about it being entrapment. Entrapment is when they do something that makes you break the law or makes you do something you ordinarily wouldn't...Since I'm sure you speed more than just this one time, I doubt anything was done to "make you" speed this time.
As for advice, get it deferred or do defensive driving if eligible and then buy a radar detector...A nice one like a V1 or an Escort etc..
