I can't believe you got as far as posting this thread asking the question.
I have seen those pics too, some time ago. Hell the wheels and tires are almost worth his bogus asking price.

There were some scams around here where there were sweet cars like a 70 Challenger and stuff for next to nothing but the phone number they give you doesn't work and the ad says to send them the money and they'll have the car there in a day. A lot of times the car was half way across the country and they promised shipping in a day. lol

yea it is, the guy sent another email back, he said i could use cars.com buyer/seller plan to be safe and that i would pay them and they would hold the money until the car arrived. what his scam is, is that he was going to send me a fake link, that looked like i was sending it to cars.com but actually depositing the money right to him because the web page is fake but created exactly to look like the cars.com buyer/seller safety page. someone call him and pretend to be interpol or something.

My thoughts exactly. It's sooo transparent that it's a scam. The pictures were lifted from the legitmate owner. Have seen that happen before, even years ago. ********* were selling stuff on Ebay that they didn't even own, and were hijacking pictures to "show" their nonexistent stuff.

Spoke with this jackass a few minutes ago ..... everything was great, the car was located in Italy, just wire transfer $3,200.00 and I'll ship it .... no problems at all.
The conversation took an interesting turn at about this point ......
Me: Just one more question .... how do you plan on selling a car that you don't own?
Him: What?
Me: Yeah, could be a problem. You see ... I'm the General Manager of the company that built that car originally and sold it to a customer here in Texas about 2 weeks ago .... so can you explain how you're planning on selling this car to me again? Or why you're using my photos and trying to steal people's money?
At this point, he literally flips out, tells me he posted the wrong photos, he has many cars and must have gotten them confused, then he talked about "blackmail" .... lost me at that point as the mixture of broken english and bad italian was getting overwhelming - then (surprise, surprise) he hung up on me.
So, just in case your bored and feel like telling someone how you feel about scammers ...........
He's got a US number ....... (so no international charges!)
And it's ..............
(646) 530-8770
Give him a call! I'm sure he'd love to hear from you
