Stock Raptor 700r?
#24
I have a 07' Raptor 700 R cammed, full exhaust, tuned, CAI, & widen out, full elka susp. (Set up for Motorcross). I would put it up against any other 4 wheeler out there, also have an 08' YZ450F. Both are fast as hell. I would love to run my raptor in the 1/4 mile!

not sure about the time stock but My friend Stephen has one. It run real good stock. I was riding it and i pulled a 450R by a few bike lengths. Derek with the 450R can ride pretty damn good to. Well now Stephen has a full bolt on and tuned bike and run an 8.xx in the 1/8 of course
ON TOPIC, thats right, he is a good rider, has it tuned with pipe and header and K&N. RUN AFTER RUN, it was consistan 9.0 in the 1/8 mile, which as we all know is slow as hell, we though it would go mid 8s in the 1/8, but we were wrong.

Raptor
The stock 700R isn't gonna be very fast on asphalt. You'll have to set it up for it just like anything else.We race 1/8 mile on Banshees. At Redline a couple weeks ago we went 7.35@89 with a sloppy 1.68 60ft.Launching is what takes the getting used to.Yesterday we only managed a 7.46 because the damn wind was blowing right at us.The fastest 660 based Raptor has went 6.37 in the 1/8 on the bottle. The fastest twin cylinder Banshee has been in the 5.40's,triple cylinder bikes will get in the low low 5's.My customers bike we race at Redline is still stock bore, stock stroke. It still has the Yamaha crank in it.Get a Banshee if you're drag racing.I'm not sayin' you can't go fast on others. It's just a hell of a lot cheaper on a Banshee. We've got 3 grand total in the 7.35 bike.lol

YZ450F is a dirtbike, thats what I have. YZF450 is the quad..........Now stock for stock the 450 quad is faster on the track, but the raptor is WAY faster in the strait line. But mine is set up for both so i would roast a YZF450 on the track or in the strait line.

700 raptor will not out run a 450 YFZ in a staight line race mod for mod, i had a 06 yfz 450, and a buddy has a 700r, i out way him by 50lbs+ and still would pull from him on my 450, its just a flat out race quad and is all it was designed to do

The bike from what I've been told lays down 270hp on the dyno without the bottle and weighs around 250lb.It is a billet cased,13xxcc triple cylinder. As far as the Raptor vs. yfz450 the 450 is lighter than the Raptor.Throw some cash at either and they both run good.Who cares what the top speed is,it's how fast it gets there that matters.

My 700 when it was stock, 9.013 1/8:
My 700 with 11:1, ported head, intake and exhaust, 8.54 1/8:
727 Bigbore with a boggy 1.7x 60ft, 7.89 1/8:
The 700 is faster than the YFZ stock for stock in a straight line, problem is the 700 is more finicky to shift it at the right spots in the powerband. As you can tell I shortshift it and let the torque carry me out, that is the trick on drag racing a 700.
