When we got the car running we immediately put a tune in the car that was from a buddies car that was very similar to mine. We even richened it up to keep it safe.

Similar is not the same, as a non novice you should know how diff every car is. Exact same combos vary greatly, much less just similar combo's. Do you even know what exactly went wrong 100%...tore down the motor, done a leak down or anything?

There is piston in the intake and a hole in the side of the block what do you not understand about that. I drove the car a little here and there for a week before I went to RPM. The car ran better when I arrived at RPM than when it left.

I'm new to all this car stuff, so could you explain to me how RPM's tune caused your car to kick a rod out the side of the block? Did they make the tune too powerful....what?

Well I dunno what happened to your motor Donald but I've seen plenty of motors on a engine dyno and I know you ran yours longer than they do before some 6900rpm pulls. It may have been a bad part or something. She'll live again soon enough then maybe some of these SUPER FAST advisers can come get they're own shot at it.

Saying a 84k block is still in good condition isn`t always true. If you have run the car hard for along time it just could have broke! Thats what happens with cars we race!! As for the cam and heads. If you didn`t fly cut you might have been hitting. My motor is built to run hard and I DON`T spin it to 6900 just for the hell of it! Low miles and all. I might hurt it because there is no load on it!! Not very good!! Spinning high while running it on the street is alot better than just in park. I`m trully sorry to hear about your motor and the service you think you got from rpm. Good Luck!! I have always been happy with G-Force. Thats why they have gotten ALL MY MONEY!! lol

I am not saying RPM is the total cause of the catastrophic failure my engine had. But they did a sorry job with our cars. Just like Brian form RPM said about my heads I guess you get what you pay for.

Do you want a graph posted of your dyno sheet with the 12.7 a/f? That was one thing I did not do that you asked for, you wanted the car at 13.1, and I don't like to run them that lean for the extra 5 horsepower you might have gained.

You had a part fail or you did not check your clearances when you did the install. It is pretty much impossible that your "horrible tune" caused your motor do come apart. There was a mechanical issue that I am sure was made worse by several dyno pulls and it strated running worse and worse till it let go on your way home. It was just bad timing for RPM and bad luck for you.

I hope you post up what you find when you take it apart. Im sure you are going to find a dropped valve that went through the piston.....either from you not fly cutting, or a broken valve spring......

Of course a heads and cam car can't beat everybody. That was just a sarcastic comment. One of the main doods talking crap is crazylane and he's got maybe a K&N air filter and a LID. You gotta graduate before you can teach the class.
