at least i have the nuts to come over here, while you sit in your comfy office and talk about being close minded. "Oh you signed up for it" i bet you will be singing a different tune when when your friends or family die b/c of one of them. Im not being closed minded, im telling you my opinion. On top of that im ashamed to have you in my state, yea im from Texas. Its people like you that aren't worth fighting for.

My first guess is no. Then the name Ricky Williams comes to mind. Personally I think if you committed the crime and you knew the consequences if you got caught, then you shouldn't be allowed back into the NFL. Maybe a Canadian or European league. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of Vick, but he has to accept his responsibilities for his actions now.

^honestly bro. You make it sound like everyone that signed up, signed up FOR our country. Not everyone that swore into the military did it to defend our country. Some people signed up bc they were going no where/had no education/had no choice. Military is a great "jumpstart" on life, Depends what you're in for, but you can learn a field and have great job security. Not taking anything away from you/the military. I come from a military background, but just bc someone joins doesnt mean its always with the same intentions of "defending America".

First off have to brothers currently in the military, an aunt that volunteered to go to Baghdad, and a best friend in the Marines. So don't give me this Bullshit about me not supporting any of our troops here or overseas. I've done more in the way of support for the military than most people have in there entire life. Have you ever been to soldiers funnel you never knew to show support. Probably not. You come into my home and it's decorated with military remembers before and after this war is over. I was born into a military family. So kiss my ***. And for your information. The only reason I'm not in is because I decided to finish school first before joining. I thank GOD every day for those who are overseas making the ultimate sacrifice, so that I am able to sit here and type without a bomb exploding in the background.

Unless death was inflicted against another human being, I think some people ought to have a second chance. Hasnt anybody here ever made a boo boo? Even a big boo boo?

Then what is the point in joining? to bring your sorry *** in the military and be a liability? That’s great for those of us getting shot at and mortared. We really appreciate the dedication of defending America that those individuals bring to the table. If you want a jumpstart in life get a grant, get a job, maybe you should have paid a little more attention in school. im not going to feel sorry for those people. Each person is responsible for his/hers own path in life. The person previous to your post (red sox ws6) doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Back to the original topic, Vick is going to have something bad happen to him. How can you drown a dog? That is an awful thing to do. Someone needs to drown him then revive him. Complete that cycle for every dog he drowned. This is the problem that we have in the legal world. We keep lowering the standards just a little bit. If he drowned a dog and is found guilty... then he should have the same thing happen to him. if you want society to turn its self around, then you’re going to have to make a few examples of people.

whats the point in joining? are serious? mmm... see the world? to learn a skill? to have a JOB?

so you think the majority joined with the sole purpose of protecting our country? highly doubtful. Some people see it has a way out. If your born in some small *** town with no money/no way out. Im sure you'd join too, no other choice. I've had 2 buddies join the military with the sole purpose to get dwi tickets taken off their records. Maybe thats not for the right reason, but they're learning a skill and wiping their records clean.

that great that you went to that guys funeral. dont make stupid comments about showing support and going to funerals. i just put a friend on a c-130 to go home. key word was put on... he was in a ******* box... you jumped on my **** when i was correcting a ignorant person. with your closed minded comment. that being said you keep your decorations and good luck to your friends/family in the service. but until you get out here keep your opinions/ comments to yourself.

Sorry to hear about your friend. My brother just got back from Iraq Thurs, and I've been helping him cope with the loss of a few of his friends from running missions. And no stupid comments about funerals here, death is real and watching a family mourn is real. Good luck to you as well over there and be safe.

I guess dude... those are good reasons to join. but the whole role of those that are in the military is to support the guy on the ground such as myself. it pisses me off when i hear people make stupid comments. if they joined then good for them. i have no qualms with that.

I know some people can change and I believe in the second chance idea but when it comes to animal cruelty, rape, murder, etc. I feel they should get the maximum sentence for their actions regardless.

In some cases, yes. But if you have a sick enough mind to destroy another life, especially it being a dog, and know the consequences, then your *** should be locked up for good or put to death.
Its sick to think that when dogs attack humans, they do what comes natural to them, however they get punished by being put to death. I think the same situation should be reversed.
