Default non-trailored cars: What to do if you blow it up at the track?

I live about an hour and a half away from any track, and have always wondered ... what if the motor trans or rear pukes at the track?

What do you guys do? What would you recommend?

You call a buddy to bring a trailer, or a tow truck... you can leave it bum a ride home and come get it the next day.. thats about it.

i don't have friends that could do it, and i would never leave it either. how much would a tow cost for an hour and a half away? Does AAA help in any way in this situation?

Wrecker will charge an arm and a leg. I would probably find someone at the track with a trailer and offer to pay em and beg them to help me out! *knock on wood*. Oh yeah, I do have free towing up to 150 miles through my car insurance.. forgot about that lol

AAA is a great thing. but depending on your plan it might not get you ****. mine is only good for 3 miles on some occasions which isn't going to help. but in middle of no where it's good for like 150, i reccomend getting a trailor or at least make GOOD friends with someone who does have one..

Get the good AAA $71 a yr and you get 4 free tows of up to 100 miles. I have had it long enough I now get 1 tow up to 200 miles and 3 for up to 100 miles. Not too mention they bring gas if you run out, jump start, lock out service, etc.

leadfoot ... seriously? $71 a year and they give you 4 free tows? Heck, that may be relatively cheap insurance, considering!

Before I had a trailer, I had to call a tow truck. Most tracks have a nice list of tow trucks that frequent the track. Not cheap though, better carry at least $100.

if it is a new car and you have road side assistance they will tow it to your house for free. if not than get a flat bed wrecker.

I've heard over at San Antonio Raceway, that is you leave your car/truck there overnight that it will be towed away.. Something like that. I've never had a car trailer before but my Dad recently got a one for my Firehawk so now I'm worry free whenever I heard to the tracks .

Haha.. One time my friend's Acura Integra messed up at the tracks, so they pulled it to his sister's house with my other friend's Honda Civic hatchback, lol. I wish I would have had a camera, lol.
