Default engine builder in houston?
What shop would you guys recommend to assemble a short block for you? I will have all of the necessary parts (crank, rods, bearings, rings, block, bolts, etc.). I just need someone I can trust to do the machine work (clean up bore, check block and crank) and assemble the bottom end properly so that I have no reservations about beating the crap out of it once its running again. Any and all help is appreciated.

HKE hands down. Had a motor built by both LME and HKE. Will always go with Eric from HKE! Greg Good for the heads. Erik and Greg are the VERY best at what they do!

The one LME motor I have delt with is a POS. Considering we have delt with 10+ of HKE's motors and we have had zero problems...I'm gonna have to go with HKE.

thanks for all the input guys, seems like the only two to go with are hke or lme. I spoke with eric @ hke yesterday, and he was a really nice guy, answered all of my questions, very helpful. I'm going to try and give lme a call today as well. Thanks again for the help.
