Default Any Lt1's for sale in TX?

Been looking around craigslist in austin, dallas, and houston. i cant really find what im looking for, except for one deal ( which is in montgomery of all places.... ). Anyways, anyone know someone with an LT1 who's motor is blown or is for around 5000K? I have about a month or so to find a car, so i just thought i'd ask. Let me know guys. i also want a car with less than 110K miles.

It;s some thing like a 1 to 4 ratio of six speed to auto, when I was looking for my TA in '00, I only came across one six speed car and it was already sold.

yea, no auto's either, i want a 6 speed car. molested cars are very common too, or ragged out. i would think the ratio of auto's to manuals would be closer, it is classified as a "sports car"...

i dont have that kinda money laying around or else i would. i can only work with what i got man, ima college kid and i pay for all my expenses myself. if i get this internship then money wont be a problem, but for right now i want to find a decent car. I'm looking at galant GTZ's ( rare )or even a Subaru 2dr Impreza 2.5RS ( super rare ), or a Prelude SH.

if you got 5k to blow on an LT1 with even 100k that is gonna quit on you any second then you got enough. Ive seen LS1's go for as little as $4,500, the mileage prob will be the same as any LT1 you can find but I assure you it will last longer. Bought my LT1 with 130k and it went out 10k later. LT1's arent very good past the 100k mark. There are some out there going strong well past it but I wont buy another over 100k and expect it to last or be reliable. You can get a cheap LT1 for 2k and put the other 3k into it.

i've rebuilt two lt1 cars so i dont have an issue with repairs, but i wouldnt buy one that issues. I would think that for around 5K i could find a clean one. There is an MR2 that im interested in right now though. let me know if you run across an LS1 then mate. i know of a WS6 down in houston that needs an entire interior and door, for 5200 so i know that i could get an LS1, but im in college and dont have all the time in the world to work on a car. I like the LT1 camaro looks over the LS1, so i'd prefer an LS1 trans am.

its an auto and i want a 6 speed, i dont have the money to pay the owner off AND do an M6 swap, because after all that was said and done i would have over 7000-7500 in the car, and it doesnt seem worth it to me whenever i could by a clean car for 2800 and be happy with it.
