Default Pothole bent my wheel and screwed up my tire

I hit a pothole in my Audi the other day and it cost me a new wheel and tire. I have heard that it may be possible to get some money back from the city for the damage; anyone ever heard of this? How would I go about it?

Heard of that its like pulling teeth depending on the city etc... We had a motorcycle that we had just bought and got into our neighborhood and coming to a stopsign there was about 1 1/2 inches of mud across the road, layed the bike down, cracked the fairing scraped the muffler etc.. city payed to fix it. It was the contractors responsibility to keep the sight clean and they hadnt. They do now needless to say. I would definitely contact the mayor city council etc..

My girl has messed up three of her rims after hitting potholes. She has tried to get the city to pay for them and she never got a dime out of them.

I've personally seen it done before on another board. It's a headache however.

in my area of carrollton they are redoing 50% of all the major streets, so i hopefully wont have to deal with these potholes the size of craters. they will **** up a wheel fast.

id say contact the city, and nag on them.

Dayum, 3 wheels. Why not teach her how to avoid them. That would probaly help a little.

you should call the city and report the street and hope that they fix it so it wont happen again
