I agree, as an advertisement... it worked. It got people talking. I dont see this as like the Howard Stern show where the people that hated him listened to him more than the people that liked him (this was in the beginning of his show of course). This is the kind of thing that will make cooperations lose money.

I, personally, didnt say anything like that. However when one is advertising a product, they chose an ad that APPEALS TO THE MASSES. They wouldnt print it if the populous didnt like it. Like Absolut wouldnt print an ad with a map that showed the current borders that said "Absolut STFU because its the way it is." Regardless if the current ad is reality, it shows what the Absolut (perfect) world would be... in that case America would be half the size. If the majority of Mexicans didnt think that way, the ad would never have been run.
If Mexicans think that then thats their opinion of that topic. Now answer this, why arent we at war with Mexico since everyone knows they are trying to take over?
perhaps we can hurl bottles of Jim Beam back at them?
last time i checked, the last time anyone "invaded" the U.S., they got large areas of their country turned in to a dirt parking lot. i'm not saying that i agree with what happened, but it is pretty clear that at the present time, the U.S. is in no danger of being taken over by anyone. if you think that some ******* liquor ads are going to prove otherwise, you need your head examined, and maybe take up residence in the padded-wall hotel.
Lot's of panties in a bunch over this ad wouldn't you say? Score one for the agency and Absolut.
