Default Absolut No-No

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lapl...-reconque.html

I, for one, will never drink that stuff again. I will also be printing out a picture of this and taking it to all the local liquor stores and asking them to remove the product from their shelves.

Absolut Bullshit right here.

yes you are over reacting. "Swedish vodka maker" this has nothing to do with the Mexicans, they are just trying to sell vodka and they think that will make the Mexicans buy it and so be it. Everyone knows North America will never look like that again, they are too weak. **** one day we may own all of North America lol. Calm down.

Im pretty sure you had a tequila shot sometime in your life. Thats a true mexican drink, I wonder if you gutted yourself or feel like doing it now since you have or had "Conquistadors" liquor in you. Dude its liquor, get over it! Im pretty sure your local liquor stores are going to listen to you when you tell them to take it off. They might make you Exec. President of their liquor stores!

Calming down doesnt seem likely in my future on this one. This ad says to me "Drink our Vodka, we hate America just as much as you do!!"

We all agree that the idea that North America will never look like that, I just have a problem with an agency using that as a way to get more booze sold. Its quite distasteful IMO and would be no better than an ad showing Tibet as actually China... In an absolut world indeed.

A Mexican advertising agency came up with the ad... not the Sweeds. The Sweeds obviously condone this activity since they allowed it to be published.
