Do you know how much hash is in Dubai? It all depends on what color your skin is. If you are middle eastern and have multiple wives then alcohol and drugs are no problem for the law but if you are European or American you better act right and walk a very straight line or they will jack you up.

Two different words I think. I was told that Sudicky means ******. Maybe your locals just told you that it meant friend. Did they always have a big smile on their face when saying Salam Alakem sudicky??? LOL

They better take advantage now and continue to make Dubai into a tourist destination for the rich, because when the Oil Boom is over, there *** is gonna depend on tourism, I doubt China, Europe and now The US will continue to wanna pay these bitchazz prices for gasoline, jet fuel, diesel etc...

They are building all of that because thier oil source is running out, apparently they will be out of oil in ~20 years. The leaders of the coutry decided to devote a lot of thier oil money towards thier tourist industry so the country doesn't become nothing when they run out of oil. IMO it seems like a good idea, just look at all the attention they are getting for all these futuristic ideas and buildings. Our culture is only getting more materialistic as we go, so I think they have the right idea.

Yeah, they're just converting the economy into a tourist economy. A lot of rich Arabs there do have more money than sense though. Look up the videos on youtube of guys in Dubai drifting their Ferraris and Porsches on public streets.

^^ I doubt that theyll have that problem often, but yeah there gonna have cater to a wide demographic because not everyone is very fond of the middle east, I would rather go to MonteCarlo, or Vegas. Hopefully our National media becomes anti-Dubai, so they can sway public opinion towards not visiting Dubai. And spending there American dollars here in the US. This is one reason why having a weak dollar kinda has its benefits, the money that we use for turism stays out of these rich countries and stays home or in Latin America were the dollar is king.

Contrary to what people believe, Dubai is the "west" of the Arab world. Sudicky, correctly spelled as Siddiqui, does mean friend. (The actual friend is "siddique" pronounced siddeek). Dubai is quite expensive. It is the shopping mall of the world. If you are a US citizen, you are given top priority (unless you belong to an Arab royal family ofcourse; thats standard practice pretty much throughout the Arab world btw and I am talking work wise). Driving laws are retarded (you can get deported for some traffic violations; no joke). As far as heat goes, unless you are walking out in the open (which most of us dont even do in Texas summers), shouldnt be that big a deal. I would love to live there, if i had enough money or qualification.

I dated a guy in college whoes dad was some big wig in Gm for the middle east and they lived there.
Yeah they are pretty harsh if you get in trouble over there. He got caught racing or something and GM had to help him get out of jail. Also its all english over there so you dont really have to worry about learning aribic or anything.
