Despite the fact that this has been in the news for years.... It's still pretty insane, but when you have more money than you know what to do with, this is what happens.

No you don't. Americans arent really liked much over there. You will never see that much green like in the pictures unless they paint the sand green. The architecture is beautiful but the temperature is staggering in the summer time. I have been there three times when I was working in Iraq. I got to see all of the beautiful buildings and they are worth visting to see but not worth living there.

The city and whatnot is pretty cool at Night during the winter months..... but in the summer months

 

Dubai is exploding, no doubt, but what's the point? Unless you've got guaranteed occupancy in those buildings, they're going to sit empty and do nothing.

Thats where the rotating sky scraper is going to be built. I learned about this is WD GEO last year and the books were a few years old at that time.

 

my buddy stayed in that crazy hotel, the room is all gold. pretty crazy. they have some crazy street racing too

 

I'd bet you could pick that up on the bottom of your shoe at any airport.

 

Do you know how much hash is in Dubai? It all depends on what color your skin is. If you are middle eastern and have multiple wives then alcohol and drugs are no problem for the law but if you are European or American you better act right and walk a very straight line or they will jack you up.

it's all the oil money that's causing the construction BOOM...

our architectural firm has projects being built in Dubai. some of the most innovative and unique architecture is being design and constructed over there. it's certainly impressive and crazy at the sametime...
