Default smartphone sim card?

Does anybody know if a regular Cingular sim card from a flip-phone will work in a smartphone like a blackjack? thanks

The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) is used to identify you as the user and not what phone you are using. You shouldn't have any problems, as long as the phone you choose is GSM.

There is an updated Sim card used for new video streaming technology, but most people already have it. If you don't, Cingular/AT&T will give you a replacement for free.

I had a blackjack for one day. Didn't like it, so I sold it to my friend's girlfriend for what I paid for it. I wanted to get an iphone, but from what I heard they aren't all that great. I was going to try and save my money to put towards the at&t tilt, but other things popped up. And I don't think I would be able to keep a nice phone in good condition. Always getting them messed up at work or something like that.

Right now the iPhone is the most convenient and efficient smartphone out there. It may not be the most technologically advanced, but it is very user friendly and there is never a dull moment with it. The Tilt sucks ***. Anything with Windows Mobile sucks ***. Windows Mobile is very choppy. There aren't any phones that can run Windows Mobile smoothly. It has a lot more features than the iPhone though.

If you don't mind voiding your warranty with the iPhone, you can download some great apps for it. Since the OS for the iPhone is Unix based, there are lots of great and stable applications you can download.

yeah blackjack sucks my *** and so does the reception it gets. The iphone sucks if you beat your phones like I do because the whole front screen is glass. All the windows mobile phones suck because theres a lag....like when your computer bogs down, Theyre gonna have to put in one of those intel atom chips just to get it to run efficiently

If you don't need all the foo foo crap from 'smart' phones, SonyErricson makes great phones, I'm on my 2nd one now, the 810i Walkman phone. It replaced one similar to it without the MP3 player. The 1st one still worked fine after about 2-3 years, and this one is about 1.5 years old. I'm rough on phones, always break flip phones & I've found these to be rugged & able to do enough to make me happy. I can check weather & traffic on it's web, it supports java so I can use google maps & gmail on it, has some games, calendar, mp3 player, can even get FM if you use the headphones it comes with which act as the antenna also. Too many people get the smart phones & never really use them for what they are intended for....

Man, why couldn't this thread have come out 2 months ago when I bought the blackjack I'm using now used from a buddy. Windows Mobile sucks ***, and it doesn't even have flipping WIFI! I believe the blackjack II has WIFI and definatly know it has GPS capibility, so that's a little better.
