Buyer and seller question Ethics?

If you bought something through paypal for something someone was selling and they asked you to cover the 4% paypal fees and you did. If they backed out without a reason and sent you back the money but you were short $13.65 in fees would this **** you off?

yes... I had to back out on a sale one time, and I sent him back everything he had sent me, plust the 3% fee, plus a couple dollars extra just to make sure.

Was the sale listed as "buyer will pay all shipping or fees?"

Did the buyer insist on paying by Pay Pal? Whoever insisted on using the service should be responsible-

Why did you back out of the sale? Was the merchandise not as advertised, or did you change your mind? If you had a change of heart, why should the seller have to pay for your indecision? He shouldn't be out money, he has already lost the sale that could have gone more easily to someone else-

I was the buyer. The guy backed out on me said he could no longer sell. Seller insisted on me paying him with paypal and covering his fees. I paid him right when he asked no problems.
