HELL NO, Ford motorcraft from what i hear is one of the best out there.. sure you could get a few ponies. but its like $7-8 qt. witch is like $40 for just the oil or you could spend $30 for an oil change w/ regular oil

the main purpose for the use of royal purple isnt hp gains. its just a bonus. i use royal purple for the protection. i have it in the engine, trans, rear end, and ice in the radiator. i run the **** out of my car. i abuse it at every chance and i need an oil that can take it and rp does a damn good job of it. i had my oil pan off for the first time a month or two ago. the inside looked brand new. not and once of sludge or and abnormal wear.

**** the price, is 10$ really worth that much to you? then sell your car and buy a civic. now quality wise, its a very good oil. the best imo.

Just use Mobile 1, I've read some negative info on RP from people that ran it, I can't recall the reference, but I've beat the hell out of my last 3 cars & all of them used Mobile 1 with no problems what so ever. You can find the 5qt. jugs on sale at Wally World fairly often, and even normal price isn't too bad.

Is that formulated for diesel motors? I'm pretty sure you need a different type of oil for optimum results in diesel. I'm sure you can run regular oil, but I'm pretty sure you get longer life from oil formulated around diesel motors. I know in my Duramax I could go around 10k on an oil change & I used Chevron Delo or Shell Rotella.

Royal Purple is great oil. Everyone here will bash the hell out of it but running it in my cars and if you post this up as I did in the LS1 section youll get alot more technical responses and more proof that it is a great oil. Some people seem to of had blown engines when using this oil so they just so happen to blame Royal Purple which is total B.S.
