son of a bitch.. they do that just to spite us..

12 cents?? 12 cents... if gas was 12 cents here, i would take more cruises definatly, and put in a bigger cam.

even if we did steal their oil, there would still be a "shortage"

When a condition that determined the OLD price changes, the NEW price is likely to be VERY different as well.

How have conditions changed in recent years? The biggest change is that CHINA and INDIA — with more than a BILLION people each — have had rapidly growing economies ever since they began relaxing on government controls and allowing markets to operate more freely.

When there are rising incomes in countries of this size, the DEMAND for more petroleum for both industry and consumers is huge. Increasing the SUPPLY of oil to meet these escalating demands is not nearly as easy. Thus making it more expensive.

HOWEVER.......WE CAN HAVE LOWER GAS PRICES!!!!!.... HOW!??!!
WE CAN SUPPLY OUR OWN OIL..... BUT.....

Our Politicians have made it virtually impossible, by banning drilling in all sorts of places and preventing any new refinery from being built anywhere in the country in the last 30 years, and then they add taxes upon taxes on the already high gas prices.

So tell your politicians that you want self supplied oil, that way, we can have cheaper prices. On side of this "alternative energy"..... how about "independent energy".

From my understanding, the US has discovered an oil pocket larger than any in the world right here on our own land. Problem is... It's absorbed into slate rock and there isn't an efficient way to extract it. (I think splitting the slate and power basting it, then letting the water and oil separate isn't a bad idea and would create jobs, but I'm no scientist)

Plus we all know that there is a huge amount of oil in Alaska, but thanks to the democrats, we are not allowed to disturb the nature. Again in my opinion I think that, yeah, there might be a few small habitats destroyed while the rigs and piping are built, but also, I think many new habitats for animals will be created. In the ocean, what is used to create artificial habitats for sea life? Old boats and planes. How is it any different on land?

I think the US has the potential to be independent, but like previously stated, the government restricts us from doing so.

or too sum it all up, take out the EPA lol. they are screwing EVERYTHING up. they wont let us drill our own oil, allow more refineries and now they are ******* up the economy by putting diesel fuel through more refinement to get rid of sulfur which have made diesel prices shoot up causing PRICES EVERYWHERE TO SHOOT UP.. you can say EPA basicly RUNS the economy now.

that's not exactly true......there are A LOT of refineries that are currently expanding here in the U.S. ......A LOT!!! from what I have seen most of the refineries have the space to expand on the existing plant, and it's cheaper to do that in most cases over building additional refineries....

slate rock oil, or shale oil as its more commonly called is more plentiful than all of the oil reserves in the world, but almost triple. If it were easy enough to get out of the rock then we'd be using it already, shell spent 25 million last year at a facility harvesting it while still falling under epa regulations...but then again there are 25 times as much hydrocarbons sitting on the bed of every ocean floor in the form of gas hydrates...google that one if you really wanna motivate yourself to become rich over night

Their government subsidizes the gas. It's like those people you see at the grocery store who pay $10 for a cart full of groceries with their lonestar card.

in Kuwait you can fill up for about 1.25 a gallon or less. I believe some of the more prominent Kuwaiti's dont pay for gas at all

I was just over in Venezuela over the holidays with my wife and yes it was funny how we were paying a little to nothing to fill up her sisters compact suv there. Most drive small compacts there because larger vehicles are too expensive to buy and put on a waiting list to own. A 50k vehicle here would be 75k there.

Saudi is another famous place where you can buy fuel for a little or nothing also. Same as Venezuela. These are 2 places in the world that fuel will never rise since the control/exchange is not important.

If gas is only .12 cents a gallon just imagine how much you get a set of mint zr1's or tt2's with 17x11's for Hell they would probably pay you to take them back to America and you wouldn't even have to sell your hood or trade them your rims!
