i just got an 08 maxima 3.5 SE!! im pretty impressed with the car. no regrets at all. very comfortable, smooth driving and gets up pretty darn good for a 6 cyl. i think youll be happy with the maxima over the grand prix.

Nothing against the Grand Prix but I loved my 03 Maxima and the new ones are pretty nice. Plus you can get the Maxima in a 6-speed

have you looked at the 3.5SE Altima in coupe/sedan platforms? My g/f has an '07 Altima 3.5SE sedan and it hauls ***. I raced a friends Chevy 5.3 RCSB that runs 14.4@97mph and I pulled on him from a few 60mph rolls a few months ago. Altima/Maxima, either would be a great choice over the GP, good luck!

I loved my '02 Maxima 3.5 SE w/6speed. It had 149k miles and really no big problems. Plus it ran a 14.1 in the 1/4 stock. I would still have it now as my DD but my wife wrecked it a few months ago and totalled it. I averaged around 24-26mpg in the city.

I vote Grand Prix if its the GTP model, easy to modify and a great family car.
