Default 3600 Stall Questions..

I been thinking about making the switch from an M6 to an A4. I know someone who would swap me transmissions along with a 3600 TCI stall, but I don't know how good that would be in a daily driver. I was wondering if anyone daily drives an LS1 with a 3600 or bigger stall. What rpm's would I be taking off at? I just basically want to know some positive and negative things about daily driving a stalled auto before I go and do something I shouldn't. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ryan.

I ran a 3500 in my 2001 Silverado...
RPMS jumped to 3200 to get it moving but man, mash on it and it would scream...
I think you would really like it, but like it was said right above here, make sure you get a cooler for it..
wish you where closer.. I would swap transmissions with you...

I did the M6 to A4 swap last year. I got a 3800 vig. I love the auto at the track, but if I had to do it again I would had stayed M6. There are alot of little things that you will encounter along the way. If you can get an A4 CPU do it. I kept the M6 CPU and harness. I had it flashed to an A4 and bought the transmission ouput harness from a sponser here. If you have any questions shoot me a pm and I will try to help as much as I can.

The only disadvantage will be a 2-4 mpg drop in fuel economy.

Ha. I'm always in the La Porte area. I'll be in Deer Park next weekend, but I'm not taking the T/A.

2-4 mpg is a pretty big drop, especially at the way gas prices are going right now..

I would like to stay with an M6, but the chances of me breaking my 10 bolt are pretty good. I figure if I go with an A4 I can take my car to the tracks whenever I want and won't have to worry as much. I don't really have the money to get a 12 bolt either. I'm gonna be starting college this fall so I gotta save some money.

Just keep the M6 bro.
It would be cheaper getting a 12 bolt and 3.73's or 4.10s than going through the process of swapping things out.
A friend of mine has a cammed TA with a yank 3600 and still broke the 10 bolt rear from a 40 punch against an EVO

Damn dude. Every time I sign on LS1Tech you have a different badass car in you're sig lol. I love the Cobra. I would not mind one of them at all! Anyways, How much much a used 12 bolt and a set of 4.10's run me? Just want a figure.. Not a specific price.

I'm not really sure of the exact figure but it couldn't be more than 1100.
lol....okay.
I had bought my cousin's 07 whipple'd GT off him for cheap because he was in some financial troubles, and had it for two weeks or so and then found the Cobra I've been looking for and traded straight across for it

I daily drive the SS4000 in my signature. The only complaint I have is having to keep the RPM's in the 2500-3000 range just to keep up with traffic. The 2.73's don't help either.

I'm eventually going to put 3.73's in it and see how that feels, then I may drop to a 3200 stall.
