Most cars that come out to run at those "Small Tire" Events are usually personally owned, but yes Shops do come out and compete to help show off their skills.

To build cars like that and run well takes a lot of skill. (Speaks volumes on what they can do for lesser cars for business. Best advertising you can have is a fast, race-winning race car)

Look at the NHRA. A lot of those cars that run in classes are a bunch of guys putting money in together to have a go at making rounds. (Even Pro Mods in the ADRL, etc.)

By the way, I already see this thread shifting in the near future to running stock components, because the Supra can use a factory IRS/T-56/etc.

I was surprised that hadn't been thrown out there yet. Now this is going to get good.

Hey Stephen, Brandon, Gypsy Ricky, and I were all skinny back then! If I remember correctly Brandon won by many many cars. Ahh how those were the days late and boring night at Pinemont.

Can I get in on some of this Supra Eating fun. All I have is a pesky Ford with Hairdryers. I would be down for this dyno competition as well, and I have an Automatic. As long as the money's right....

Man the hate is thick here for the Import crowd.

I would like to see a race between BL and LMR on similar sized tires and turbos...

Why not just run what you brung? Either its fast enough or its not. Screw "SInce you have an auto then I want - lengths." Either the Supras are setup to race and can keep up or they can't. If they arent set up to drag but to run top end then they should look for vettes and such, not camaros set up only for drag.

It has stock seats, the back seat, stereo system, stock suspension, stock rear end, stock gearing, stock axles, power steering, and working ABS. The car will dyno +1500whp, run a 8.4 in the quarter, and blast 230mph in the standing mile.

Trust me, the BL car is setup for drag racing. But the power advantage for running a 100+mm turbo over the 91mm is huge.

Well considering the clash of the titans limits you to a 91.5 mm turbo, thats what we both will be running. They get to spray though.

But still rolls around on Draglites! Come on Chris.. Put some of those 17" Aluma-stars on that thing in the front and something matching for the rear. It'll look pretty sick on them!

We all have different sized check books, the cheapo's work just fine. However, some 14" Brembos look killer on a 8 second drag car. My car is pretty much retired. I believe the man next door is going to keep the ultra street car supra dream alive. He has a much bigger wallet than me. Now, he can drive his own damn car. He told me he wants to go 8.20's and run 240mph in the mile. The car should 300-400lbs lighter than mine.
