Default ticket question
i got nailed for speeding and no front plate (i didnt realize i was speeding) the cost for both is 280 dollars should i jus pay a traffic lawyer to try an get me out of both? or should i pay for DD on the speeding ticket and pay the no front plate ticket?

Depends on your average tickets per year. If you think you can be good for another year do the DD. If you think you need a little more cushion, get a lawyer. I always go for DD because thats all the lawyer is going to get you anyway.

this your first time?.. if so take the DD.. and the front plate depends where you got the ticket in dallas it would be dismissed but in other cities its a little harder

You can get the front plate ticket dismissed by bringing in a photo of your vehicle with it on.
If this was your first ticket, take the DD.

take dd and get the plate dismissed. I've taken DD like 6 time in one year So it's either that or deffered

this is my 3rd speeding ticket in 4 years my last one was 7 months ago in a diff county the cop said i have to drive my car to the court house so the balif (sp?) can see the plate is on my car...

That's fine. Just take the plate cover off and put it in there. Drive around the corner after you leave, take it off and go home!

i would like to but the place i bought it from didnt supply a 2nd plate and i dont wanna buy new ones

You only got one plate??
I've never heard of that before.

yea the car only came with my back plate when i bought it in november i told the cop this aswell but he still nailed me for it

What BS. Just tell the judge you got it with only one plate and just see what he says. If you don't want to get new ones thats about all you can do

Been there done that....was told it was my responsibility All good though got the personalized plates after that
