Default Traction question

I posted this in Wheels and Tires, but nobody answered... Ok, so I recently had my tires replaced. Before, I had 245 on the front and 275 on the rear. Well, my dad replaced the tires at his shop, and he just looked at the fronts, and put 245 all the way around. How much will this affect my traction?

Do you mean very poorly as in bad traction, or no difference?

With that power level on 245's....you won't catch traction til 80mph or so. I know I can barely get traction on 285's with 510rwhp.

Well hell if you're running street tires, a wider tire isn't gonna make a bit of difference.

lol youre actually thinking of keeping 245s on the back?!?! I have 275s all around, that's what you should do or get the rears replaced with 275s

Sarge couldn't catch traction regardless of the tire size.

LOL

The rims he replaced them with are 18x8.5... I had 18x9.5 in the front and 18x10 in the rear before hand... I doubt I will be able to change anything out because I would have to go through the process of getting new rims and everything. I just hope 245's all the way around doesn't look TOO bad........... On anything short of ET streets, I don't see much of anyone getting traction in first or second gear with 510rwhp.

Stir up a little father and son battle I'd say. Go burnout for 5 minutes straight and take it back to the shop tomorrow.

Tell your dad, "oops".

Recommend

Nitto 555R : 275 min./315 max.

510rwhp=315+ Drag Radial ONLY

Trust me!
