Dave got back to me
In all fairness when I got home from work this AM there was a email from Dave at MTI. Although unable to sell me the parts I needed, he did give me a phone number to find them. I think I have the right parts on the way now.
Thanks Dave and giood luck on the new venture.

I have been lurking around for a while on this site. I have met a lot of people through the years and I have seen some of MTI's original players that were the best tech's in Houston leave and go on their own and they are doing VERY WELL these days.
Whatever comes out of this, Good luck to you all @ MTI!!!!
Tony : AKA (NINEBALL) may be able to shine some light on this subject.

Tried to call MTI today, had to leave a message...are they still going to make an anouncement???
They need to publically come out and state where they stand. To me, the worst part about the change would be if they can still honor previous tunes that were done there. I was just tune 2-3 months ago, and no one even stated anything about a change.........

As soon as we can legally make an announcement we will - please bear with us and I should be able to put something out by the close of business tomorrow.
Relative to tuning, we are in the process of transferring our software and tuning files to another company - they'll be handling all the new tuning and retunes moving forward.
Thanks,
David

Looks like tomorrow is today and that didn't happen, though I'm not surprised. Because it looks like for the past couple of weeks you've been saying "in a few days" or "at the end of this week" blah blah blah.....
You know, you're starting to sound like a car salesman........oh wait.......never mind..................

It takes a lot to own a successful business. But, as far a your customers coming back or getting the word out how great that buisness is....it all has to do with customer support! Making sure the customer feels comfortable with handing over money for a service or product. I know, that if 2-3 months ago when I wanted my car tuned, if I knew about this **** I certainly wouldn't have gone to MTI. I simply wouldn't have felt comfortable spending 500 bucks and not knowing if I would be able to go back for a retune for the much cheaper rate like most all shops do. I'm now figuring, I might have to fork over another 500 to another shop with no help from MTI. Who knows?.......

So maybe you would still be good to go on the retuning, without having to fork over more money...

im curious as who the other company is as well...
i think MTI should have let customers know ahead of time or atleast put something out though before doing away with the performance aspect that way if anybody needed anything done they could have done it.
can u really make more money selling a few cars than having a bunch of people coming in for performance work?
