I'll gladly "step out" of this thread because you're making me "more dumb."

p.s. 3465 minus 2976 does not equal 200. It's actually closer to 500.

So yall really think a front heavy ZR1 out handles/brakes the mid-engine 430 Scuderia that weighs 400lbs less???

^Considering the fact that it is the fastest around the 'ring, which supposedly tests every performance aspect of a car, I would say yes it does. Might not in every single aspect, but over all it is faster and thus a better performing car.

The ZR1 is a faster and better performing car on the Ring than the F430 Scuderia. No doubt about it.

All I've been trying to do is to explain that the ZR1 is one powerful SOB. GM is still underrating the LSx motors.

You sure about that. How about you call up LGmotorsports and ask them what was one of the very first mods done to the C6Z they had. Ask them what they did to the stock brakes at MSR. Im also sure you know weight has a direct effect on braking. Not trying to get myself mixed up in this, just pointing a few things out.

1. I seriously doubt the the zr1 had any kind of problems with brakes. It wouldn't surprise me if after they do instrumented testing that it ends up with the most powerful brakes on a production car in the world.
2. Put the ZR1 and the Scuderia on a shorter track with less straightaways and I am quite sure the places would be reversed.
3. Put equivelant tires on the ZR1 and the advantage at the ring would be even more.
4. The ring is a relatively high speed track in many places where HP plays a major role.
5. I honestly think something funny is going on the the Ferrarri times. It weighs much less than the GTR and has roughly the same HP(or even a little more) and it was still way behind....

GTR has at least 50-80 more RWHP than a 430...the GTR is underrated also by Nissan.

and on the shorter track with more turns, the Ferrari would pull away slightly.

What's funny is all the S-10 guys who brag about having f-body rear-ends

What's even better is that some S-10s came with an 8.5 Apparently the V6 5spd was just too much for the 7 5/8

G - Nice.

No, I'm not sure about that. I'm just going off of what I've gathered. I'm sure there's instances that the brakes would eventually fade.

No, because Ferrari has made a big deal about brake fade being nonexistent in the Scuderia.
