Default redlight cameras

last night i received a letter in the mail with a pretty pic of my plate going through the light at 1960 @ 249 Its only $75 but i remember a houston lawyer fighting it and saying not to pay. I was just trying to find out if anyone knows the out come of all this. Thanks in advance

im still trying to search it out i havent had a chance to go to the web site and see it for myself (me going thru it) i left the letter with the site info at home, i sure it was yellow. also if i remember right its a civil case not a criminal off. so they cant put out a warrant, but they can stop you from getting registration lic. renewed . like i said its only $75 but i like to be difficult

theres a video of you runnin the light. check it and if you stopped and then proceeded it can be fought if not just pay the 75 bucks seeing as how it doesnt go on your record. your gonna pay more gettin a lawyer

I agree with MJCOTRONEO. I got one a few months back. Dont remember running the light red but just paid the $75 and was done with it.

How does a moving violation not go on your driving record? Can't issue a warrant? Have the laws changed the last few years?

because it was taken with a camera like the toll road. im still trying to find out the facts so please im not saying its true

I'm not positive on this but I think that it doesn't go on your record because it is not regulated by the state. I think it is regulated through a credit company.

^^^exactly thus explainin that if you dont pay the "ticket" it will go against your credit score

The violation is civil and does not go on your driving record, but the Municipal Court can turn your name over to a collection agency if the citation is not paid.

yes its an independant company seperate form the city...it will go on your credit from my understanding but not anything the cops can do

hell thats one lucky sob no there was no trffic just me, hard to beleive at 1960 @ 249 at 9 am there was no other cars i think they photoshoped it. sorry everyone it will not let you copy the pics or i would

when these first came out a lawyer had his brother run a light and get a ticket on purpose so he could fight it i just never heard the outcome of it. his point was it wasnt legal
