IMO, its sad to claim kills on slow *** 4 cyls etc in a V8. I know they can run decent when modded, but some of the kill claims are out there.

 

maybe a good race for a stock lt1 or a silverado. havent seen any of those cars do so hot on the street .

 

I haven't seen any decently quick ones yet either, but they're claiming 03Cobra and LS1 kills.......

I agree....these cars aren't that damn fast...I see they have LT1's on their Kill list everywhere...Funny thing is, I ran 2 of the New SS Impallas and walked em both pretty easily.....granted my LT1 is a Cam/Nitrous car, but needless the Bottle wasn't even in the car..

 

Someone fill me in... LS4? Obviously not the motor I'm thinking of... :shrug:

And unless I saw a pretty nice looking Monte Carlo or I was really bored, I probably wouldn't even mess with one...

LS4 = 5.3L V8 for FWD. Found in Monte SS, Imp SS, GP GTX, etc. Rated @ 300 hp IIRC.

So are these cars pretty quick? What would one of these run in a 1/4? Does anyone honestly think that they could take an LT1 or a mustang GT? I'd be interested to know if they are actually capable of taking some mods and walking some unsuspecting mustang or LT1 driver.

 

Naa..They aren't really all that quick....Seen a SS cobalt take one from a roll and a dig...and a 05 Stock GT beat the same car from a dig and a roll.GT was an Auto...and agian...My LT1 hasn't seen one even keep pace

 

I beat an Imp SS w/some exhaust mods in the TBSS (totally stock) in a bad way. The TBSS has a "best of" ET of 9.17 in the 1/8th. So I'm guessing ~14.2 in the 1/4 which isn't fast IMO.

We test drove a GTX before buying the TBSS. My wife wasn't even impressed with it's acceleration. My guess would be mid 14's stock.

 

They run high 13's-low 14's bone stock. For a 4 door sedan that's FWD, they're pretty quick. I love ours. I actually like driving it more than the SS just because it's WAY more comfortable.

I ran a new GT up to 95 w/ my MCSS, equally matched. It has a K&N and M/F exhaust.

My '02 Z28SS would have spanked it.

I prefer to drive the MCSS, better all around car. The Z beats it in brute force only. Got me thinking the new Z may be a huge jump ahead for the Camaro.

 

if you think mid 14's is the best we can run you guys are retards. Cobalt taking a ls4 come on you guys must all be drunk on that shity beer, and not all corvettes were killers the 80 vettes were slow so as a lt1 lol. Most of the faster kills where by ones with some mods. low 14' and high 13's stock if you know how to launch, with a little mods they run low 13's but traction is a problem. Really you got nothing beater to do than be ******** and bash other gm cars. Atleat turn you hate on mustangs lol.

This post was poking fun at the PEOPLE who brag about beating much slower cars in something quicker, not the car they're driving. I was waiting to see someone post a mini-van kill story with the crap that was being listed.
So your low 14-13 sec ride beat a 15-16 sec car.... WOOHOO!!!! Thats like bragging that you beat up a 5th grader. If you don't like my post, then brag about beating something that would at least be a decent run. If you fall into this catagory then sorry your feelings got hurt, but I found the amount of wins against slow cars that were being bragged about as humorous.

Ya, I said they felt like they run mid 14's. And the ones I drove felt like that to me. The one I ran had to because I doubt my TBSS is in the 13's. I wish it was, but I know it isn't. I gave him the go from a dig and he was quickly left behind. Sorry, but that isn't low 14-13 sec ET material.
