Default What causes this?

Normally this issue doesnt annoy me but today i have just about had it. Why are all the lights on my car pulsating? I've heard others in the past say theirs did it too but nobody ever said why. Is it an alternator issue? Maybe battery? Can anyone help?

Well your lights will pulsate if you have a big system in the car with out a capacitor regulating it.

if it does it when the bass hits, you need a cap for your system, do the lights dim when the system hits hard?

Mine did this and the alternator tested good.

I finally bit the bullet and replaced that alternator and it quit.

mine has done that before in my Firehawk. Its the voltage regulator, and since its inside the alternator, the alternator will test as good.

If you even think it is the system, just unhook the power leads to your amps from what ever power source you tapped. If it still does it then you know it isn't the system.

Whatever you do Crystal........... DON'T GO WITH AUTOZONE ALTERNATOR! (Replaced mine 6 or 7 times before switching to O'Reiley's, problem solved. Doesn't matter if our situation/problem was different, I lost and you will too with that brand. I did a thread on this and I think about 6 different people agreed with me and maybe 2 didn't have problems.

It's the Fagometer. It's pulsating because it has detected a *** has been in your car. Your bf Rob must have sat in it recently.
