Default Decision on keeping wreck car???

My 98Z28 according to my insurance company is salvage or totaled, they giving me 9k for it, and was wondering if its worth buying it back for $1,800.
The mods are tr224cam with upgraded valvetrain, ls6 intake, lid, vig3200, shaner tb, c5 wheels, ceramic coated paceseteer headers, damage ultra z hood.

Depends, what kind of damage are we talking about (head-on, side hit, roll over, etc.)?

**** that and what anyone say's, keep it. My camaro got stolen then in a police chaise then totaled when the hit a curb then pole doing 120 plus and I still sold the motor for over a grand and then sold the tranny for a pretty penny with the tail shaft being snapt. Then sold whatever lil crap that was leaft I made a good amount of cash back and my car was totaled hell my car didnt even look like a camro when I picked it up from the impound it looked like a pile of **** so if I where you buy it back part it out (keep the mods if your getting another fbody) and you will come out on top...

Buy it back, strip it down to the body. Keep everything you need and sell the rest. You should be able to make about 3 grand total proffit.

Did this with my 01 NBM Z28 and made 2700 just selling parts along with selling the body to a scrap metal place netted me another 900 bucks.
The insurance gave me 11700 for my car.

Only cost me 1100 bucks to buy it back from the insurance company.

I dont got any pics right now, the insurance has it, but it was a head on crash, it affected it all the way to the pullies, I might just let it go, even though I did contemplate on getting an 02 SS and swapping the mods. Just might end up with a simple car, that can be reliable to work and school.

so your car hit a pole at 120 and the motor was fine?

EDIT: not calling you a liar btw, just pretty crazy it could survive a 120MPH pole impact.

My car might be auction off somewhere in Dallas, so if someone wants to buy it, you know what mods it gots, and most of these mods got less than 3k especially the converter.

I would buy it back and part it out, if the drivetrain is ok.

I lost the *** end at 120mph at Ennis. The car spun and hit the wall in the left front and left rear. The front end was pushed about 11 inches over to the right and I was still able to salvage the entire driveline.

I have a totaled Red 2001 Ws6, black leather interior no rips, unfortunatly I have a lein holder, so I don't know how and if I can buy it back I took the insurance offer now but I'm just waiting to release it, hopefully I can buy it back. If so how much do u guys think they should sell it 2 me for?

It has side driver side door damage, bottom damage, engine cradle damage, all the rims are messed up.
