Put something on the end of the yardstick and actually slide the lock/unlock lever over. If you can hit the button, you may be able to get the lever. Get someone on the other side of the car to steer you.

Oreillys sells slim jims for 15 bucks in the package. Ive pissed off a lot of people by opening them in less than 10 seconds. If your in the middle of nowhere and you have fixed antenna you can use it as well.

I used the antenna from my buddies Mustang when I locked my keys in the car.

Pulled the window back, stuck my arm in up to the elbow (wouldn't go in any further), handed the antenna threw the window to my other hand and slid the lock forward.

I don't think you're supposed to be able to hit the unlock button when the alarm is on, which is why you have to slide the lock itself forward.

You can do it, just gotta keep at it.

It's a safety feature.. You can't unlock it by hitting the button... Basically gotta use a slim jim and get it that way or call the dealership, provide title, license, etc.. and they'll cut you a new key... or get a locksmith.. or a BFH.. lol

My brother locked his keys in his trans am and he found out that you cant press the power lock with a coat hanger cause it will just lock automatically back. And the coat hanger chipped his window. So be careful!

ANY car with windows like on a camaro i.e. probes and some hondas etc can be opened the same way. pull the glass back, reach in and unlock.... i would have never posted a video of it on the internet though

Last time i locked my keys in the car. I got a fishing pole and stuck it through my driver side window and jammed it into the passenger side lock and opened it up the 1st try.

So next for you guys who lock their keys in. Try using a fishing pole. It works better than a coat hanger...

The BCM goes to "sleep" after 5 minutes and you can not use the electric unlock button or the truck release button to open anything until you "wake up" the BC< with the key in the ignition, opening the door, or the keyless entry. It's so that random people can't stick something in your window to hit the button and open it.

I recommend against pulling the glass out to unlock the car, it's hard on the internal door parts and you can damage the track and the fiberglass mounting points by doing so. Some people do it without causing any damage, I know that, but many people damage their door and/or window track as well. I have even seen someone knock a huge chunk out of the top of the door that way.
