HouSton Cruise Drive Route - Saturday, Sept 6th
Houston American Muscle Cruise Route 9/6/08

Meet at 9:45am-10am leaving at 10:15am.
Meet location - I would suggest that everyone Mapquest all address listed in this route
Shell Station/Jack in the Box
17502 Hwy 6 (Corner of Hwy6 and 288 S)
Manvel, TX 77578
Drive Route
Reset trip odometer to 0 before leaving parking lot
Go 288 South Mileage is close but may be off a 1/10 or two.
26.6 miles - to Lake Jackson Dont speed after this point as police are heavy here.
33.2 miles First stop (REGROUP AREA) 15 minutes Buckees Gas Station/Store (before light at plantation and 288S)
35.5 miles be in right lane to take Business 288/Surfside exit (easy exit to the right onto loop and stay straight) Road turns in to 332E which will take you to Surfside.
42.8 miles will go over Surfside Causeway Bridge
43.7 miles Turn left at light which is CR 257 (this is the Bluewater Hwy) (Welcome to Surfside beach sign will be in front of you)
56.5 miles Toll Bridge at San Luis pass $2.00 (REGROUP AREA) Pull over on side road to the right after paying toll so we can regroup (potential picture area here as is very pretty)
67.7 miles (11:45am 12 noonish) Nates WestEnd for lunch (2 hours) Their address is 5378 Jamaica Beach, Galveston, TX 77554 Phone is 409-737-9350
Exact mileage from here not known - From here we will go to the Galveston Lighthouse for pics
From Galveston Lighthouse we will make the run up Hwy 146 from Galveston through LaMarque to Kemah which is about 16 miles
We will meet at the Kemah Boardwalk and meet at The Aquarium Restaurant (281-334-9010) for drinks and casual time. Address is 11 Kemah Waterfront St - Kemah, TX 77565
We will then go across the street to the Car Show in front of Home Depot at 6pm till ?

i'm in, but you may wanna reconsider the aquarium, it is way overpriced, and even that early you will probably have a hell of a time finding a table (or parking for that matter) for as many people as we may have out. if you would like we can take a vote on it at some point in the day

I would scratch the aquarium too.......I worked at Landrys on the boardwalk for almost 2 years and will tell you I have eaten and drank at all the boardwalk restraunts and while I agree all those places are owned by the same people Landrys had the best food. It will be busy cuz its sat but they even have an upstairs, a covered patio, and 3 bars. I have no idea if I could pull any strings about food, but if your with with me and you leave a decent tip you will get hooked up on the drinks for sure.

Hey Troy, I'll throw a post on to the HPD site...not sure how many are coming at this point...last count had 23 confirmed but have had several more indicate they may come.
