Hurricane IKE Thread

Drove over to Bacliff to check out the damage, can't believe some decided to ride this out being in a mandatory evac.

This poor Pelican was 3' from me and was so tired, there were hundreds of these guys just sitting there confused wondering what the hell just happened!

I'm trying to finish up my 48 hour shift at the hospital so I can go home.
I took my dad a generator this afternoon, met up with him in Marlin (he lives in Conroe). Basically, there were few to no gas stations open / with fuel on his route. He filled up in Marlin. Sounds like everything south of the Bryan-Madisonville line is totally borked. Even Centerville had no gas.
It almost sounds like it's going to get worse, on the gasoline front... People need gas to get around, but if they can't get it, things are gonna get ugly.
And on another topic, our group secretary was saying something about alligators attacking people in Galveston, and they were intentionally keeping that off the news?
