Hurricane IKE Thread
I'm doing ok down here in 45S & Parkplace the neighborhood looks pretty roughed up but my house suffered no damage exempt for some shingles and one leak. A tree did fall on my vette on my driveway, since the garage and storage were turned into an apartment. I have No power but other than that I'm good I restocked on most of my supplies exempt for batteries, after standing in line at HEB just to able to get in for 2 hours. I also went to check out my dads property out in liberty county & 2 pick up generator. But it was a no go on the generator my dads trailer was in pieces a few hundred yards away. I'm on my iPhone btw I'm charging it through my car. Also for those of u that have no power either I reccomend y'all listen too 740am they are doing an excellent job in keeping everyone informed.
didnt have any luck in trying to remove my car from the place when i went to get it.

Same story on my part of town. Just east of downtown its all messed up. My street did ok, no BIG trees. The utility pole in my back yard broke and is prolly going to fall on my garage(hanging only by the wires). The other streets in my neighborhood were not so lucky. Every big tree fell or big branch fell. Not enough chainsaws and not enough gas to run them. Its going to take a week just to clear the trees. Heights is in the same boat. Water was super high in the bayou along memorial and white oak bayou was high as well. No power and and high water with trees all over the place is going to slow down the power guys alot. Downtown had broken glass everywhere. Lots of damage. I work at central market heb on westheimer/westlayan. We are open. We have Ice and water and non perishables. Hopefully more stores will be open tomorrow. Stay safe everybody.

Im alive!
I rode the storm out at my parents house on the water in clear lake! We were trapped for 1 day due to flooding! Our house was 22ft above clear lake. The water was 1 ft away from flooding our down stairs. That was the the scariest things ive ever done!
My house in Clear lake shores is destroyed..
G-Force got very lucky! We got a little water in the showroom and no cars were flooded!
Im in CC texas with a few friends. Im hoping to get power at the shop soon. THIS SUCKS!

WOW! I have some **** messed up at my place also, so does Landers. I was luck to get this generator today a 4.5hr wait in the rain LOL! So thought Id take a second to say we made it no one was hurt a little Home damage and a TON of tree damage I am overwhelmed at doing this stuff without some help my brother is supposed to come over in the morning and help me get a little situated with a lot of the big stuff I can't handle by myself. We had a tornado right by our house hence the tree damage it went by less than a block from the house and it tore some **** up of course! See you guys later. Hope everyone else is and did do well.
My parent's got hit hard! Don't know if any of u seen "SURFSIDE TX" on the news but my mom, dad and lil sis live there and well them and some close friends got hit hard hard hard!

We have been running on our generator since saturday a.m. but running low on fuel. Need to find some, post info if you have any please. Will post some pics of our neighborhood later. Stay safe!
