What price range are you looking at? That's going to be a big deciding factor.

I don't know if I would trust the income from your cousin, things happen. Being conservative and going off your ~$3200/mo minimum and 30% rule, you're looking at $960/mo for mortgage/property tax/insurance. I'm sure you could fudge those numbers a bit to fit your specific situation.

If you like, I could PM you contact information for a friend of mine that's a realtor. She can definitely work with you to help find what you're looking for.

That's fucked up...

It really depends on where you will be relocating to for your employment. Dallas is a huge place...with some great and not so great areas.

Mesquite is a hell hole, but ideally centered for everything. Garland can be nice, Rockwall, Rowlett, Fate and Royce City are nice. Sunnyvale, Forney are as well. They are all within 10-20 minutes of each other. We really need more info.

He can always take the train system. Can't remember what the hell it was called. I would probably rent a place first, to get used to the area.

I used to live in oak cliff and it is way way better than mesquite and other parts of DFW thats for sure. Atleast in Oak Cliff we know how to level our roads.
