To be honest man I have had a bunch of go karts but when I got my first dirtbike (kawasaki KLX 125) it beat everything else as far as fun and reliability. But for him you could get a little honda 50 or 70 to start out

Although I think kart, ATV or motorcycle all have a similar problem;
there's not many places down in my area to drive them. Might need
to stick with the bicycles and get him into BMX or something...

I started riding dirtbikes when I was 4. Yamaha PW50 is the way to go for a young one like that

Get him a liter bike. The earlier he gets seat time the better.

i started racing bmx when i turned 4.. and raced till i was like 14 or 15..
