Need advice on selling HD Dodge pickup
With the market in this state of suckiness, it's hard to find ways to move a heavy duty pickup, especially a diesel. What ways have worked for you guys? I've got it in the paper and will be running it in autotrader but I wanted to see if you guys used any other avenues.
Thanks for your help!!

Sadly knock the price way down... and hope that someone wants it at the low price. Exactly the reason I still have mine. I haven't even tried to sell it, I don't want to know how much it's NOT worth!!

post it on all the message boards you know. find other boards (truck boards and similar) and post it there, craigslist, ebay, autotrader, you could put up flyers and bandit signs in various places, sign on the truck, setup a referal system and have other people look for buyers.

It's a 2006 3500 4x4 laramie. It has the heated leather seats, navigation, infinity sound, etc. It basically has every option except a sunroof. I'd like to get about $22k for it but I don't know how to gauge what it's worth. I understand about knocking the price down, but man it sure sucks to think about it
I'll have to look for some specific forums like this.

they dont have to be spacific forums. put it on any forum you can think of. make a word document and make a list (of links) of everywhere it was posted. then you can go to that list and go to every place and TTT the posts as needed.

You have the 5.9L so you're in good shape....from what I've heard and read the new 6.7's aren't exactly desireable. The same optioned truck, brand new probably goes for what I got for my truck.
I had mine listed softly since the beginning of the summer. I advertised it a little harder last month and it sold within 3 weeks.
I've had very good luck with craigslist. The houston auto cl section moves pretty quickly so keep "bumping" your ad. Be patient.
Oh, and lastly, be prepared to hear from Canadians. For some reason it's considerably cheaper to buy a diesel in the US and take it across the border. I was contacted by two seperate guys, both wanting me to take the truck to the dealership, have it inspected, etc. I told them I'd be happy to do it if they provided a deposit...which I never saw. Not sure if it's a scam or not, just FYI.
