Default how f**ked am i?

got accused of "tire squeel" and failure to signal a lane change (was distracted by all the flashing lights in my rearview). the tire squeel is bs, i was taking a right hand turn, going about 25-30 (green light) onto a 3 lane road (turned into the middle lane with no other traffic, and was in 3rd gear, so about 1500 rpms in the turn, and only part throttle, shifted into fourth at 2k right after turn). how much do they have to actually prove with something like this, or is it just their word > yours? because i know i was not "squeeling tires" and i am less than three weeks from being off deferred adjudacation for a 1.5 year old speeding ticket

if the ground was wet the squeeling tire ticket will be thrown out if you fight it, i have 3 friends that have gotten that ticket thrown out, as for the other i dunno. but if it was dry its just your word against theirs. i would go talk to the judge before any trial or anythging, just go to his office and talk to him, that worked for me on my stuff

ground wasn't wet, but it is a pretty smooth/slick road. but the whole thing about it is, i wasn't even getting loose, just taking a normal hard right turn

yea i know what you mean, some cops just like to screw with people that have better cars than them haha i would just have a private conversation with the judge and explain everything calmly and he will probably help you out.

most of the time they wont even check if you are currently under probation for a deferred ticket. lmfao ive gotten tickets while under probation and even had more than 1 deferred before at different times and they never even checked. Had they checked id had to pay the fines.

Tell the judge that you had low air in your tires and you took the turn too slow. I have stood in many parking lots and heard vehicles turning slowly into parking spaces "squealing their tires". By the way, "squealing tires" is not a violation. What does the actual violation state on the ticket?

that is exactly what it states, and i was thinking about that, i have never heard of someone getting a ticket for...and i quote...."tire squeal"

I'm sure we are getting the 100% honest story just like the court will think when you argue it.

I got one of those years ago, I just pleaded not guilty for the tire squeal which is actually an excessive noise ticket and the judge just dismissed it

You can always have your court date on the second tickets reset so that by the time your in court for them, your off deferred aj. and will at least have that option again.

yeah, i talked to my brother about it (a local cop) and he said in pasadena, "Tire squeal" is in effect the same thing as a sound and vibration ticket (from bass or whatever) so not a moving violation like i was worried about, and as for the turn signal thing, what sucks about that is the reason i didn't signal, i saw him coming up quick behind me lights flashing and instinctively moved over out of his way because i had no idea he was coming after me, due to my not having done anything wrong i thought he was on his way somewhere else in a hurry and i wanted to get out of his way asap

actually, as a matter of fact, that is the honest story, i even said what gear i was in and approximate mph during the turn, if i was wanting to be a badass and do some mad tyte tokyo drift ****, dont you think i would have been in a little bit lower gear for 25-30 mph?

i would probably just call my lawyer and have them deal with it for me. you may be able to do it yourself but I would not want to waste my time dealing with it. not having to hassel with it is worth $100 to me

i recomend using david spreacher.
