how come my craftsman jack only has a warranty if i have my receipt?
the jack leaked all the fluid out, and its about a year old, and i don't have a receipt so they won't let me exchange it.

I agree the jack and torque wrench warranty is poor, I have been a manager at sears for 8 years and constantly try to get them to reconsider the warranty, it falls on deaf ears.

Other wise I can't fault our line of tools.

Its to prove the date of purchase so people dont bring in stuff from yardsales and exchange at the store.

I have been looking for good reasonable price and excellemt quaility for jack lift floor. >Sears Craftman Professinal 4-ton Low Profile #0950167-$149.00 + FREE shipping $$+ local sales tax.
Heard that Sears Craftman Professinal 4-ton Low Profile is bad news, is it true?
Good Quailty??
Is it would be lifetime warranty??

Alot of people have problems with Craftsmen jacks, but especially ones with the "Speedy-Lift" feature as the mechanism inside the jack often fails. I would stick with a regular non-"Speedy-Lift" version.

All Craftsman jacks have one (1) year warranty with receipt, meaning you have to have the receipt present to do a warranty exchange.

It is Sear item# 50139, or if older item# 50136. Heres the link to the website. The only thing is that this jack is 3-ton. The Speedy-Lift feature is awesome, it is just alot of people have had problems. Actually recently I have not had any returns on them so maybe they have revised the design hence the new item#?

Adrian87camaro:

What is your feedback on the following 1/2" Craftsman Professional impact wrench for $189.99.

Craftsman Professional 1/2 in. Impact Wrench
Sears item# 00919905000 Mfr. model# 19905

This impact has good torque according to its specs., it isn't too heavy, convenient thumb controls, and the Sears website user feedback does not show much negative information.
I would be using this for home use. The impact I received with my Lowe compressor can be stopped with my bare hand.

It sure would be nice if there was a sale of some sort on it.

For home use you can't beat the price. My experience with our impact wrenches is pretty positive, most customers never have a problem with them. If money was not a issue though, I would but Ingersoll-Rand. They have some really nice impact wrenches with great specs, but their price tag shows it. But all our impact wrenches are good homeowner quality. Plus, you get a year full warranty so long as you have the receipt.

I have that impact gun for the last 5 years now. No complaints at all. It does goes on sale every once in a while. I think I got mine for ~ $120.

Default Sears Digitork Wrench Torque turned bad

Hey Sears (AdrainsCamaro),

my torque wrench 's ratchet drive head or Reversing lever won't turn (counterclockwise and clockwise) and looks locked.
Sears 1/2" drive Digitork Wrench Torque Part #0944596.

I went to the local Sears Center to ask for replacing long ago. They said it can't replaced it and its not lifetime warranty. It was 1-year.
The service guy at sears shop told me, the ratchet drive head or Reversing lever can replace.
Where I can get that ratchet drive head or Reversing lever? It would be easy to replace it?

Quick question about the exchange policy. My Craftsman 1/2 drive finally bit the dust after 15 years. We'll I went to my local Sears and asked for an exchange and no questions asked they popped open a tool box from under the Customer Service desk and handed me another rachet. I noticed the rachet they gave me had a different finish than the one I turned in. The one they gave me was like a gun metal color and the one I turned in was more like a chrome finish. They said that I could wait on one just like mine but it may be a awhile so I just took the one they had instock. I thought nothing about it until a week or so later when I went to pull it out of my tool box and it had a thin layer of rust on it. My old rachet from 15 yrs ago never did this and I'm not very happy with this new one, am I stuck with this rachet until it breaks or should the store exchange it out for the kind I turned in. (I now just wish I had waited for the right one to come in)
Thanks for taking the time to answer so many questions for your fellow members!

Definately return that one you just got right away. They have taken my rusty tools no questions asked. If the Sears near you won't take it because "a new policy" or something along those lines, take it to your nearest K-mart that sells tools and they will exchange it for you there.

Yeah, they only have one year warranty, but here is the Sears parts website link where you can get all the parts to rebuild it. It looks like that switch comes in a package for like $10 + shipping. I have never rebuilt one so I couldn't tell you, I would expect you would have to get it calibrated, but again I have no experience with that either, sorry.
