Default Cleaning up rusty pliers?

Anytips on cleaning them up? throw them on a wire wheel, anything to protect them afterwards... if you saw my other thread, scored a couple pair of Channel Locks, all work fine just look rough, wouldn't mind cleaning them up a bit though.

the cleaner you get them, the worse and faster they'll rust/get messed up next time. I'd soak them in some pennetrant (there are actually specific ones for protecting tools), get them working smoothly and consider the finish a "patina."

Bead blasting cabinet will do an excellent job on removing all rust.

Spray them down with WD40 and work them. Then use a old rag to wipe off and realize they are tools. You could proably buy a pack for $25. at HD.
