Hi guys. Just wondering if there is one brand that everyone prefers over the others? My uncle got one with a big box of accessories/attachments but I haven't been able to find a kit like that myself. For now I'm mainly wanting it to help port the tb opening on a typhoon intake. Thanks.

go with that dremel dont go with the 2.0 series i used mine for an hour very lightly and motor burnt out. dremel replaced it very easily and even gave me free rotary tools and my new one i used it for like 10 mins very lightly and motor was smoking. i use the original dremel at work constantly working it very hard and never had problems. my 2.0 series dremel is just crap. -tony-

i also have a big dewalt grinder which i clearance blocks with and the advantage with those is you can use carbide bits and really take the metal away but the dremels also have small carbide bits and will do the job if its not too much and if you wanna save some money.

I had a XPR whatever with the tackle box. I hated it. It got hot as ****. I bought a piece of **** one from harbor freight and it works fine. Way better actually.

I bought the 10.8v lithium cordless version about 2 years ago. It works good for lighter jobs (cutting wheels - not so much), until you get about 1/2 way through what you are doing and the battery goes dead. I assumed when I bought it that it came with 2 batteries - wrong.....and I haven't found anywhere that sells just the battery.
If you use a cutting wheel and the battery is not a full charge the overload trips and you have to turn it off to reset it.

Btw, I bought an accesory kit with mine that came in a kit that folds up and zips. Got it at Workshop Tools for about $30 and it had tons of stuff in it. They were by far the cheapest I've seen on the accesories.

Get a Dremel XPR, has revolutions up to 35000 RPM. Will cut through steel and easily though plastic.
Lowes has a special sometimes that includes the accesories and a toolbox for around $100.
