My neighbor just gave me this for free and I'm trying to think what happened to it. He said he had it in a closet and may have over heated cause there wasnt any fans in there. Supposedly the oil went thru the tube I circled and into the tank. Did a ring burn up or something?

What you circled is the exhaust. Its a copper air line. It just like an engine. In your picture, the intake comes in the right side of the head, and the pressured exhaust comes out the left side and travels down to the tank. The oil sits in the belly (notice the sight window) and lubes the crank as it spins. I dont believe it has an oil pump.

Yes that or someone put it there ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
There will be a small amount of oil getting by. The valves and springs in the valve plate need to be LIGHTLY lubricated as well. Easiest way to test whats wrong is to plug it in. If nothing happens when you send it power, either the pressure switch is bad or the motor is bad...
