personally Im a Miller man but of those are the only two choices then I would go with that Eastwood. due to the fact it has the capability to use gas. flux core wire is hard to work with and and wont make as nice of welds. if you could swing a bit more the Hobard handler 140 is a solid unit.

Like speedtigger said buy a good welder the first time.
Ive got a Lincoln Electric Weld Pak 140 HD, works perfect for me and never gives me any problems. works both with gas and flux core. youll def want one thats gas capable
