HELP!!! Welder needed in New Orleans So for a long time I had performance issues stemming from a faulty fuel pump that caused me to change/repair everything that could have been bogging me down. While poking around in the dark, a mechanic mentioned that my cats might be clogged and causing me to lose power. It turns out that they were running below efficiency per my diagnostic scan so I decided to have said mechanic remove the cats and weld straight pipe in their place. Ever since removing the cats(3 or 4 weeks) the starter had been making excessive noise. Since it had never been changed before I just assumed it was on its last leg and when it went out completely I would fix it. Turns out that none of the bolts that the mechanic touched were torqued down efficiently and the outside(boss) mount on the engine block had broken off. Problem is that I cannot get the car to a welder for them to see that it can be done without removing the block. If anyone knows of a welder in the N.O. area that would be willing to fix this problem please reply!
