Battery Tender
I need a battery tender as my car sees the road about 10 times a year I would like a quality one and I am willing to pay for it. Also would prefer one that was made in USA. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I am a big fan of the Battery Tender brand, especially the 1.25amp 'Plus' model. I have 3 Plus tenders and 2 of the .75amp 'Jr'. tenders. I've had the Plus tenders since 2000, all are still working properly today. I even keep one connected to a spare battery that's sitting on a work bench. The Jr. tenders are used for Harleys. Yes, they are made overseas but they are built to Battery Tender's specifications. In my opinion, they are quality products.

I have a Black and Decker charger. It can trickle charge my harley and fully charge a battery. It will also test your alternator. I don't remember how much I paid for it but I am a tight wad so I think it wasn't much. I have used the crap out of it on many vehicles with no problems.

+1 for Battery Tender brand. We have two 4-bank and two 2-bank and a couple of singles in our 'environment' that includes 10 vehicles and a couple of lawn tractors. I have lost exactly 1 battery since I've put them on the battery tenders, and that one, an Optima, lost a cell after 6 years of use. That battery went from working fine one day to just clicking the solenoid the next. It sucked that we'd driven over an hour to an event, and never got off the trailer. The good thing is we never got it off the trailer.
Before using a Battery Tender, I'd replace batteries in our garage queens at a rate of about 1 every 2-3 years.
