Nope, I work at a GM dealer. Both MAC and Snap-on top-tier 1/2" impacts are pricey. Of course that's tool truck price. A guy that works here has a new Snap-on and it's pretty badass. The speed and power on this thing is unreal. But nothing like dragging a hose around everywhere.

Oh I know they are pricey, but not $1400 I have a tool box with over 35k in tools, mostly snap-off and matco. I know all about pricey tools but none of the big three have yet to come out with an impact over the 1k price mark. It just hasn't happened in a 1/2". I've seen $600 but nobodies hit 1k let alone 1400.

Unless it's one of those "Buy this impact get this $500 socket set for free" Then all they do is raise the damn price but you aren't paying for just the impact.

Damn, Sorry my mistake. I was thinking 1400lbs-ft. I think he paid $850 for it. Still can't see paying that much. I also have a pile of money in tools in my garage. Be buying for 30+ yrs.

I buy IR air tools

But I know the guns used in roundy-round racing in the pits are $2500 guns

That makes a lot more sense, I'm an IR impact guy, but my impact is about 8 years old and I paid 250ish way back then. Still going strong.

I use my Ti2131 the most and it's plum worn out. My 3/8" air ratchet has more power. LOL

It's about 20 yrs old. It was the first model of the composite body
