I just got a craftsman air compressor and it came with some tools. I hooked up the ratchet and it worked for a minute or so and now it won't work. It just shoots the air out by the handle. I put some oil down in it and it just sprays it out. Is the ratchet bad or did I do something wrong?

It is busted from the factory - Craftsmutt strike again - hand tools, sockets and hand wrenches are guarnateed forever - I'm not sure about air wrenches, however....Since you just bought it they should replace it, however.....

Might check for a little thumbwheel on the butt
that sets torque; make sure it isn't in a funny
position, try setting it to "11" etc.

Hit the top of it on the ground and it will loosen it up. Sometimes there is a part in the middle that goes back and forth that can get stuck. Hit on the concrete a couple times and it will loosen up... I have had it happen to me a couple times.

Mine did the same thing, I just hit it on the ground and it works
