We I started out with craftsman sockets but then went Snap-On crazy!
the box is 54"x6'7"x29" and just under 10k.
I have every tool I every thought I would need!

Something like that A trust fund type of deal for a ton of money, but at this rate I will blow it in no time!

I just keep telling myshelf "tools will help me work on my own car and that will save money".

Yea, same here. My parents gave me an early "inheritence" but it's all gone...spent it on getting my office space, furniture and computers for the internet cafe'.

Nice toolz, Just think if you put them to work today they could earn you a million dollars in about 10 to 15 years or so.

Here's my tool box $98 for the socket & wrench set $150 for the box all bought in 1986.
I have done a lot of work with these tools in the last 18 years it's an investment that has really paid for self.

"Snap-On chair,trash can,roll cart,hat,cup,coat, ect"

would have cut out on that and gotten some good wrenchs and sockets.

But i guess it is a nice starter kit.

Oh I still have a full set of Snap-On wrenches and many sockets. On the roll cart there is a full set of impacket Mac sockets! I also have 4 more draws I didn't show a pic of! As well as 3 torque wrenches, 2 air guns (best them make) 2 air wrenches, cut offs and angle grinders! And the best of all GM TEC2!

These tools are for light around the house use and electrical! I think it is all I need to do light work, at least till next year when my pull-barn is built! Then I will need at least 2 car lifts!

Pics of the new stuff and thr rest of the sockets up by the end of the day!

Nice! but unless your going to use them hard 5 days a week all day that was a waste of money. I have a big costco box with 2k of snap on tools and many mastercraft tools(Craftsmen style but better) all in all I have about 5-6k worth of tools and I cant see many jobs my tools cant acomplish at the GM dealership where I work. I just buy the snap on tools when I will really need it often., I would of spent my money elsewhere

But nice tools!

You spent $9500 on just the box?!?

You've got a lot more and a lot nicer stuff than I've got, but I'm hoping for my sake that my $20,000 college degree becomes a better investment than your $40,000 in tools.

I hope your dad was a tool nut, otherwise he might be a little upset.

Anyway, that is nice stuff you bought, can't fault you there.

Look normaly I would agree with you guys on this but I spent 86k on my red 2001 camaro and another 60k on my black 1992 camaro, then got my Escalade EXT cash put another 17K in it and then got a 10k YFZ-450. See I got over 2.7milion in a trust fund at 17! I am not a rich bitch I am smart with my money I can't spend it fast enough! It makes 90k in interest! And I am 22 now.
The way I look at it is if I can pay someone else to work on my car why not learn to do it my shelf!

Nice
well atleast we cleared up the fact he doesnt work flat rate especially for GM or crapy tire then you would be asking for money from your parents or other just to go to work and maybe just maybe some nice customer will by you a coffee and call that a lunch.

I think it would of been worth it to get the snapon sockets. There have been situations where the difference between getting one bolt out with a craftsman vs snapon socket was 3 hours (with no luck) vs 3 seconds.
