I saw this a long time ago at Sears (K-Mart???) for $80. Apperently, it is not a Craftsmutt tool, however.

It looked really well-made but I was wondering if it would hold up given that it has a smallish threaded rod???

Any thoughts on this; has anyone broken one of these?

Just found it at my local sears for 79.00. Gonna pick it up soon. Looks kinda big and like it would hit the cooling fans.

If you are doing a cam change you are going to need to remove the cooling fans and the radiator anyways.

I know, but I was also thinking of someone who would be doing a pulley for the first time without doing a cam, like I did.

I just bought one from Sears also. I wonder if it works getting the stock one off. It did look like a large puller.

I have to take mine back. It didn't work. Isn't big enough to go over the ASP and since the ASP is solid inside there are no tabs to latch on to. So I used my dads old Snap On 2 jaw set that has various configurations and it fit better than it did on stock. Used it on my stock but fiment was bad but it did the job.

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative try Autozone, OEM #27139 (Great Neck Chrysler Harmonic Dampner Puller). I know it says it's for Chrysler motors, but it works like a charm. After breaking two of their loaner 3 arm pullers on my cam change a few months ago, I decided to give this one a try. Wish I tried it sooner; would have saved me a lot of headaches. Go to their website and search by part number. Good luck!

This worked on the stock pulley. Not sure if it would work on ASP...

ASP pullies have threaded holes to use a conventional style dampner puller. You dont need to use a three jaw on these.

I one I use is from Harbor Freight. Works perfectly and I've never had it fail or hurt a pulley. Knock on wood!!

Ditto on this one....it works well for the stock pulley. It grabs the tabs on the inside well. But it does need a spacer (socket) towards the end of the pull.

MAC & MATCO make these for around 75 & you'll never break 'em. If you do there warrantied. He's right though these work great & there stout.
